Adobe Lightroom is one of the most well-known and most capable photo editing software’s. The mobile version of Lightroom is completely free, while the desktop version does $9.99/month. That said, the Adobe Lightroom app is still extremely powerful as users can control exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, colors, tint, color temperature, saturation, vibrance, sharpening, noise reduction, cropping, geometry, grain, and much more. One huge bonus of Lightroom is the ability to edit certain spots and areas.

There are many other benefits including:

  • RAW image support
  • Creative Cloud Storage
  • Mobile-Friendly UI
  • Preset Installations
  • Fast Performance

Ultimately, Adobe Lightroom is the most complete and versatile photo editing software that can be downloaded for free on the Apple and Google App Stores.

Adobe Photoshop Express is another great free app from Adobe to help you make images look better. Photoshop Express offers many tools that Lightroom does not, and vice-versa. A sample of these different features include flipping images, creating collages, removing blemishes, and removing red eyes. Photoshop also allows users to add borders, stickers, watermarks, frames, and text. Some other features (which Lightroom also offers) include cropping, rotating, and straightening. Ultimately, Photoshop is a valuable tool to have for editing images.

VSCO is a great social media app that has an extremely powerful photo editor built-in. The photo editing software provided to VSCO users is completely free and includes over a dozen professional made filters. Additional filters can also be purchased. That said, VSCO offers users the ability to easily slide to adjust things such as exposure, contrast, and color saturation.
